Power Hour is an intentional space for Black, Brown, and Indigenous people to build community, inspire potential, and heal from racial trauma. Power Hour is a weekly, two hour event dedicated to helping create a future Oregon that’s a vastly different depiction than our past.
There are several social activities that happen during Power Hour, including small breakout groups, a collective vibe check, a guest speaker presentation and Q&A, and a closing mindfulness meditation. Community members are encouraged to share their lived experiences with racism, success stories, and seek/give advice or resources in a community space free from further racial harm.

Show up! Black, Brown, and Indigenous people, this event is specifically for you.
Receive $10 in cash in the spirit of reparations, paid for in part by racially privileged folks.
Racially privileged people can support by GIVING reparations. Instead of physically attending, your presence will be felt through your active financial support for healing, leadership, and community building within Portland’s Black, Brown, and Indigenous community.
$10 will support the leadership of one community member, and you are strongly encouraged to donate for more than one participant. Monthly donations are very much needed to sustain the Power Hours and other programs of Brown Hope.
