Not only is making a difference and helping the ones in need a passion of theirs, but they also have plenty of applicable professional and volunteer experience. Currently, they have one full-time job in a nonprofit as a Site Supervisor for a program called Step at Open School. They provide the youth of color leadership, mentoring, and tutoring as they transition to high school and get adjusted with coping and behavior skills together with the services that they are lacking. They pursued these jobs after working 4 years as a program coordinator at one•n•ten, where they created and ran programs for LGBTQIA youth that promoted self-expression, self-acceptance, leadership development, and healthy life choices. In addition to their job, all year round, they fundraise and advocate for different nonprofit organizations and causes. This is something they have been passionate and committed to since 2014 when they received The Diamond Crystal Award for humanitarian of the year. They take much pride in their involvement in their community with multiple organizations, such as Aunt Rita’s to raise money for HIV/AIDS research, Phoenix Pride for the Phoenix Pride Scholarship Fund, and for their own organization in the Imperial Court of Arizona.
