Marshawna Williams

Chief Operations Officer

Marshawna Williams (she/her) believes that it is time to reimagine how our institutions, corporations, and organizations serve the community. And as leaders in these various sectors, we all should continue to challenge what we think we know and who we are leaders in the community. Including taking accountability for our unlearning and individual healing process. Marshawna was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Marshawna’s background is in nonprofit management, high education, and adult learning. She graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and completed my Master's of Science in Education, Leadership, and Policy with a focus on training and development from Portland State University. She has over seven years of board leadership with various organizations, focused on racial equity and community sustainability. For the past several years in nonprofit management, Marshawna has focused on assisting organizations evolve in equity in partnership with sustainability through facilitation, adult education, and project management. Marshawna is currently the Chief Operations Officer with Brown Hope and serves as a board member at large for Imagine Black and African Youth and Community Organization.
